Grow More in Containers This Season 🌿

Hi Garden Friend!

Can I tell you something? Some of my favorite harvests haven’t come from big raised beds… they’ve come from simple pots on a patio.

If you’ve been putting off gardening because you don’t have a backyard, or you feel overwhelmed by the idea of “starting a whole garden”, container gardening is such a gentle way to begin.

A few good pots, quality soil, sunshine, and you’re on your way.

You don’t need a big plan. You just need a place to start.

Container Gardening Basics for Beginners

If you’re not sure where to begin, this is the best place to start. In this post, I walk you through the real basics: what kind of containers actually work, how much sun you really need, and the little things that make a big difference (like drainage… always drainage 😉).

20 Easy Fruits & Veggies to Grow in Containers

One of the biggest questions I get is: “Okay… but what should I actually plant?”

So I put together a list of fruits and vegetables that truly do well in containers, not just ones that can survive, but ones that will actually produce and make you feel successful. Think tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries, herbs, and more.

The Pots I Personally Love Using

Over the years I’ve tried all kinds of containers, and I keep coming back to lined fabric pots for a few simple reasons.

They’re incredibly easy to use, lightweight enough to move around when I need to chase the sun (or protect plants from a surprise cold snap), and the drainage is fantastic. No soggy roots. No guessing if water is pooling at the bottom.

And maybe most importantly? Mine have held up beautifully for over three years now. They’ve been through heat, storms, and plenty of watering, and they’re still going strong.

If you’re investing in containers this season, these are the ones I personally use and recommend. Use the 5 and 15 gallon sizes.
